Tough viz? Wave thy magic wand
Friday 3/6:
Up Next: We're expecting clearing conditions heading into the weekend, as forecasts call for partly cloudy skies, mild winds, and a high in the upper 40s. Winter Pridefest continues tomorrow with group ski outings and their signature Dance Party at the Lodge. Passholder Early Ups return to Red Chair this Saturday, which is scheduled to open at 8am for all Outplay 365 and Full Season Passholders. Early Ups ski area boundaries are Leeway on the west and Olympian on the east. Please adhere to closures until normal operations resume at 9am. Rainbow will start the day on hold and is expected to open around 10am.
Following the latest storm cycle, Ops Teams have been hard at work prepping for a planned Summit opening tomorrow! Conditions permitting, we plan to open 100% of terrain for tomorrow, to include 360° skiing and riding off the Summit, the Backside Bowls and West Bowls, as well as the Summit uphill route. Due to warming temps tomorrow, conditions may be variable - ski or ride with caution. Stay tuned to the Mountain Report in the morning for the latest updates.
7:00am Update: Good morning! This morning greets us with cold temps in the 20s, light winds, and a stubborn haze that is expected to burn off. We're forecast to see a high in the upper 30s with a chance of snow showers under partly cloudy skies. New snow from recent storms should have groomers in great shape today, and you'll have your choice of 10 scheduled chairlifts granting access to over 100 open trails to enjoy.
Winter Pridefest lands at Mt. Bachelor today with a variety of fun ways to get involved today and tomorrow - click here for the full schedule of events.
Be Advised: Keep your speed in check and stay in control. Give other skiers and riders adequate space. Coverage remains thin across the mountain. Please stick to open/named runs, expect marked and unmarked obstacles, and ski or ride with caution.
Snow immersion suffocation (SIS) and tree well risk exist today. Ski or ride with a partner and keep them in sight at all times. Stick to open, groomed trails to minimize SIS hazards. Educate yourself on deep snow safety here.
Be prepared for winter driving - AWD/4WD, high-clearance vehicles, and chains or snow tires are recommended. Check ODOT for real-time weather, traffic, and road conditions.
